Mrs.
Winnie McKinstry passed away at
St. Johns hospital, St. Louis, Mo. November 15, 1941 at 7:15 A.M.
Her death followed confinement of three months and illness of several months. Mrs. McKinstry was born in Washington county near Three Mile Prairie, January 30, 1885. She was the daughter of Robert and Rachel McCune. At the time of her death she was 56 years, 9 months and 15 days. On July 2, 1903 she was united in marriage to Thomas J. McKinstry, who passed to the Great Beyond, October 15, 1924. To this union six children were born: Raymond, Elmer, and Rachel who resided with her at their country home near Rice, Illinois; Harold of DuQuoin, Robert of Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Mrs. John Hubler of Pinckneyville, also one granddaughter. She also leaves to mourn a sister, Mrs. Alta Stuckey of St. Louis, a brother Lyman, having preceded her in death, also half-sisters Annie Hutchings, Edna Chapman and Mildred Krupp of Pinckneyville and three half brothers Elza, Willie and Earl McCune of Pinckneyville a step mother Mrs. Bele McCune of Pinckneyville. She leaves also a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. McKinstry united with the Concord Baptist church November 17, 1909 where she had been a faithful member until her death. She was a devoted mother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. -----
Funeral services were held at the Concord Baptist church Monday
afternoon November 17 at 2:00 with Rev. Herman Daily officiating.
Interment was made at the Oak Grove cemetery.
