Historic Buildings

The Jemison Van de Graff mansion
houses the Tuscaloosa Visitors Center.

In the Searcy home is the
Tuscaloosa County Board of Education.

First Presbyterian Church

First Baptist Church

First United Methodist Church

The Presbyterian and Methodist churches were built in the 1830's.
The Baptist church was founded in 1818 but this building was built in the 1950's, so I wouldn't call that historic!

The Tuscaloosa News building isn't historic, but I liked
the way I could look in and see the printing presses.

The Alston building was the first skyscraper in Tuscaloosa.

Capitol Park

Many years ago the state capital was in Tuscaloosa.  There is now a park at this location.
