1880 Census Records
Three McKinstry brothers and a sister came from Belfast,  Ireland in 1851.  Another sister stayed in Ireland.  I am told that they left because of the potato famine.

William, Andrew, John, Rose came to America.

(One source has his baptism Aug 24,  1828 • Aghalee, Antrim, Ireland.  Figure that one out!!)  
 
He married Agnes Smith in  Ireland.
They were married Nov 4, 1850, Ballyeaston Antrim Northern Ireland.
My source says "She had one daughter, Sara Burke".
 I am assuming that means she had Sara before she married William.   Sarah married a Burke.

Agnes Nancy Smyth
1836–1867
BIRTH 1836 • Antrim County, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom
DEATH April 17,  1867   Perry County, Illinois
Her Father was David Smyth.

On the boat coming to America were born to William and Agnes:
     David and Andrew (twins).

Agnes died and William McKinstry married Honora Hunter (Honora Quinn, below).  She had one child, Mattie Hunter when they married.  To them were born:

Honora Quinn

Honora came from Ireland, I don't know what year.  She married Samuel Hunter in Conneticut in 1857.  They moved to Tennessee then to Illinois.  After Samuel Hunter died she married William McKinstry.

John McKinstry

John McKinstry Married (?) Mary MacKelroy
Mary already had a daughter Belle or Isabelle.

It is told in family history that John McKinstry got Belle his
step daughter pregnant. The child died. Unfortunately, her
reputation was ruined, and she had to settle for old Robert McCune.

Belle married Robert McCune (His second wife).
